PAIRINGS

Suenori (Seiya x Masakado)
The double centers of Ae! group. Masakado came up with the pairing name in a TV Guide interview back in 2018 (before Ae! group was formed). Both of them have contrasting personalities, but they insist that they aren't on bad terms (although they once had a big fight).
Seiya becomes super shy and avoids making eye contact with Masakado when talking to him, while Masakado's Do-S mode emerges when he teases Seiya. Janihaku and Ae Yantan are always making fun of their awkwardness with each other.

Sanosue (Masaya x Seiya)
A completely biased intro because they are my oshi-pairing. At the first glance, it's hard to see past their contrast — the eldest and youngest of Ae! group, the tallest and shortest of Ae! group...but in front of the camera, they are either bickering or flirting. Seiya just acts like a 5 year old when with Masaya, and Masaya always teases him in return.
They sail their own ship without even Ae-tans trying. Most of the time, you'd find me screaming about Sanosue on Twitter :D

Richasue (Richa x Seiya)
The old married couple of Ae! group. They have been together since Funky8 days and they used to hang out up to 6 times a week (pre-Ae days). They often name each other in interviews when choosing partners or someone they can live with just because they are so comfortable with each other's presence.

Monbiba (Masakado x Kojima)
Kojiken used to call Masakado "Mon-kun," which was how this combi name was created when coupled with Kojiken's one-shot gag "Biba!"
They were together from the start. In the pre-Ae days, they were the band members of Kanju, which had many member changes except the 2 of them. Both of them were shinme (symmetry) and were often paired up in TV appearances and performances.

Doukizu (Masakado x Taisei)
Both of them entered Johnny's in 2011 through an open audition in Yamapi's Solo Concert. Taisei came up with the pairing name "Doukizu," which means batch mates and It was inspired by the drama "ROOKIES".

Kojimasaya (Kojima x Masaya)
The creators of Ae! group. 2 of Ae! group's original songs (Kamisama no Bakayaro and Boku Blues) are composed by Masaya and written by Kojima.
At times, you'd find that they have a mentor-mentee relationship, and Masaya often voices about his respect for Kojima. Masaya got rejected by Kojima when he said he wanted to be the sub-leader of Ae! group. Masaya used to be the memo-taker of Kojima's words of wisdom for the last 3 years, but Richa has since taken over the role (temporarily) after losing in the Karuta game.

SeichanKenchan (Seiya x Kojima)
On Kanbari, it was declared that 8th October 2019 was the 1st anniversary of the formation of SeichanKenchan, despite that they have never spoken to each other a year ago. Their pairing name often shortened to "SeiKen"
You probably can find the most photos of them flirting/kissing that you wouldn't think that they never interacted before Ae! group was formed.

Bibache (Kojima x Taisei)
The best friends in Ae! group. Even though they are senpai-kouhai (Kojiken entered one year later), they are super close even before Ae and they went home from work together. They described their relationship as good friends who work at the same place.
Taisei almost renamed their combi as "99z (くっくー)" but it got switched back to Bibache after violent objections from fans on Ae Yantan.

Macaron (Masakado x Richa)
In TV Guide interview, Richa came up with the pairing name "Kusamacaron Yoshinori" using both their names, but since then, it has been shortened to "Macaron" by fans.
As the mom and dad of Ae! group, they are the ones maintaining the order of the group and stopping the members from getting out of control.
